The hunt day are normally divided into three parts: The first team goes out in the morning-grey and hunts to approx. 10-11 o’clock, when all meet at the rest-place for a common meal and a pleasant time (the rest-place is each day the same). The hunt continues approx. 13-14 o'clock and lasts often to it becomes dark. Normally most moose are killed in the first week, and often 80 - 90 % of the total quota in the first 2 weeks. The oxen are normally killed in the first week. The posts are distributed by lots drawing. If an animal is killed, the hunt is stopped and all meet with the killed moose. The animal is then brought away from the district, and the remaining time of the shift normally goes to slaughtering.
